The Chair of the Department of Journalism, Ling-Hsin Kung prefaced at the beginning of the meeting. He described the current situation of the news media. In the meeting, the attendees attentively listened to the Chair of the Department of Journalism introducing  the curriculum and future planning.
Fu Jen Catholic University Chair of Department of Journalism & Communication Studies, Hsu-Chu Ho explained his suggestions for the curriculum of Department of Journalism. Shih Hsin University Chair of Department of Radio, Television & Film, Tsai Chen described the ideas and plans in response to the fast-changing new media.
The fourth year student representative of the Department of Journalism presented his views on the curriculum and the adjustment direction from different standpoints. Nanhua University Dean of College of Social Sciences, Yu-Liang Zhang suggests that from compulsory courses of university, college and department to student career planning should be integrated into a curriculum map.

The Central News Agency International and Cross-Strait Center journalist, also alumnus, Zong-Han Miu mentioned different career plans lead to different course-taking from the practical perspective. The department is based on traditional media.  The presentation for the courses of network communication and new media on the website can be adjusted at this stage.

Fu Jen Catholic University Chair of Department of Journalism & Communication Studies, Hsu-Chu Ho encouraged everyone at the end, and expressed school curriculum planning does not catch up with changes in the industry, so we should focus on establishing the basis, and the most basic core values will not change.

Seminar Activity Outcomes Report

Sharp Daily newspaper editor-in-chief Li-Mei Xu (left of the photo) came to school to share the interview experience in the news industry and describe how to handle or verify the news that readers reveal.

TTV senior producer Qi Wang was invited to Ming Chuan University to give a speech.  She analyzed Taiwan's news status and media development for students.
